Shingle Roof Restoration

All roofs suffer due seasonal wear and tear but many roofs suffer more due to low or no maintenance. Roof debris such as leaves, branches and moss are in the process of decomposition and add stress to your building’s roof. They cause water dams which can create roof leaks as well as deteriorate shingles and flashings.

Roof debris also aids in the production of moss, algae and lichen. We do not recommend installing a zinc strip. They are ineffective and break loose overtime.
A better solution is to install shingles which contains copper granules. This type of shingle with a copper granule can be effective for 10-15 year depending on the manufacturer and the type of shingle, roof conditions, sun exposure and tree shade.

Repair items:

• Pipe flashings, exposed nails or staples, missing or torn shingles.
• Renewing the chimney’s step shingle flashing and the chimney metal counterflashing.
• Regular roof maintenance is the key to keeping your roof in good health to achieve it’s maximum roof life expectancy.
• A seasonal or a bi-seasonal roof and gutter cleaning.
• A 3-5 year flashing tune-up.
• Moss and algae removal and clean-up.

We can restore, maintain or repair your roof by removing the debris, cleaning the gutters, by manually removing (no pressure washing) heavy moss. We then rinse off the loose debris, treat the roof with a zinc solution to kill off the moss and algae.
